Drink Water!

We have said it before and we will continue to say it! Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your body, your energy, and even your overall appearance. When you feel like you are dehydrated and are more or less, craving water, your body has actually already reached the point of dehydration. Drinking water has so many benefits. It curbs your appetite, clears your skin, and increases your energy, to name a few. Start out by drinking a glass of water before and after every meal and then simply move forward from there.

Any Exercise is Good Exercise!

People often think that just because they didn’t sweat enough or they aren’t sore the next day, they actually didn’t get in a good enough workout. Yes, sweating makes you feel like you’re pushing hard. And, being sore the next day makes it feel like you are sculpting your body. There will be weeks when you may not have time to get in your normal 30 minute full workouts. That’s ok, don’t beat yourself up. If instead, you took your dog for a 2 mile walk, count that as a win AND a workout and continue to move your body the remaining days of the week.

Portion Control!

The easiest start to improving your diet is to reduce the portion size of your meals. If following a strict meal plan or the most current fad diet is overwhelming and difficult to maintain, work on your portion control instead. Reduce the number of scoops of pasta at dinner or share a meal while eating out at your favorite restaurant. Getting your food portion sizes under control is a huge benefit and can really make a difference in your health.
